Amy MK Davies serves as the Design Lead/Design Unicorn for LTHJ Global. She brings to this role 14+ years in the Graphic Design field and a life-long pursuit of nearly everything creative.

Amy has a deep love for typography, a passion for pattern design and a fascination with the science of color. Leveraging those things in order to create change and help build a better, more inclusive future is why she gets out of bed in the morning.

Amy is the owner/founder/design primary of Word Picture Ink, a creative studio based, as she is, in the Pacific Northwest. Word Picture Ink is the umbrella for all of her creative endeavors, which include consulting work for local tech giants; award winning brand & packaging work; logo & brand design for small businesses; and an ever expanding line of printed wearable artwork that give back to a variety of charities, most of which are focused within LGBTQIA2+ communities.

After high school, Amy began studying Graphic Design, Creative Writing and Women’s Studies at Everett Community College. She then earned her BA in Women’s Studies from Washington State University, with a focus on Queer Theory, Gender Theory and Film/Representation. While at WSU, she continued studying Graphic Design. After nearly a decade long hiatus from academia, Amy went back to school and earned a Graphic Design and Traditional Print Technologies Certification from Seattle College. She has been gleefully launching herself into design challenges ever since.

She believes deeply that design has the power to create great change. Amy also believes that design has the power to show us to ourselves and can open otherwise impossible dialogues with people with whom we have little in common. Amy’s role at LTHJ Global lets her bring together multiple paths of learning into building beautiful, functional things – with an amazing team of other talented people.
